About Umaymah
I am a Cambridge offer holder and I have a passion for the subjects I tutor in and in helping students to achieve their highest potential, ensuring they secure top GCSE grades in order to progress to top sixth forms. I have 1 year of experience in tutoring GCSE (9-1) and also teaching reading skills to primary school aged children. For GCSE I focus on exam questions using past papers to help students feel confident in their real exams by honing exam technique and developing the ability to perform well under pressure. I can help students to develop a thorough understanding of maths and science concepts.

I was tutored by Umaymah during Year 11 for my Maths GCSE. At the start of the year, I was working at a grade 6 and was worried I wouldn't meet the entry requirements for sixth form. After having weekly lessons with Umaymah, I actually started to enjoy maths. Every lesson was personalised to focus on the topics I found most difficult, and I always felt comfortable asking questions whenever I was stuck. She explained challenging concepts in a way that made them much easier to understand. Thanks to her support and guidance, I improved so much and ended up achieving a grade 9 in my Maths GCSE!
