About Alex
A keen observer of social life, an alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and a voracious reader who has a passion for meaningful teaching! My never-ending curiosity about social problems we all face today led me to meet incredible teachers in my life and pursue a career in research studies. I have a postgraduate degree in sociology and more than two years of experience in conducting qualitative field-based research. I believe that the foundations of meaningful and effective learning are embedded in sharing and understanding knowledge!

About the course:
Today, amidst a plethora of online courses on sociology, this course has been specially designed keeping in mind the essential requirements of the aspirants of competitive examinations like UPSC. Students enrolled in a school or university will also benefit immensely! This sociology course aims to move beyond the examination syllabus to ensure a meaningful learning experience, that is, learning based on understanding the subject rather than rote memorization.
Structure and Duration of class:
Classes will be based on shared notes and reading materials followed by discussions around them (topics). Three classes per week.

My acquaintance with Alex goes back to 2019 at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His dedication and enthusiasm is totally inspiring. He is a brillinat mind with great sociological knowledge.
The way he explains any difficult topic is unique and creative, especially his real life examples on Indian society. His interactive approach to teaching gives us in-depth knowledge of the subject. Worth taking his classes on theories of sociological development.
I have seen him working hard towards his academics and he believes in student-teacher co-learning where the teaching is oriented towards student, where both teacher and students are the co-travellers in the education process. I am sure he will be a dedicated teacher and the students will love his company!
