About Sabreena
My 8 years of teaching science, has given me great insight to why pupils struggle in science and the most effective strategies in overcoming this. As the head of chemistry, I am well aware what examiners are looking for in the exam and the common pitfall pupils fall into and how to overcome these.
During my teaching career I have always aimed to try new and innovative strategies to enhance the interest and engagement of my pupils leading to good & measurable progress. My lessons focus on behavioural and cognitive engagement and so I plan for activities which physically involve pupils and require pupils to invest into learning in a focused, self-regulating and strategic way.
I am highly organised with a strong work ethic, with pupil achievement as my foremost priority. I closely monitor pupil progress by using a variety of AfL strategies; and use the data to set further targets to make maximum progress. This is then communicated to both pupils and parents as I aim to get the most out of my pupils by building key relationships with not just my students but also their parents to ensure best outcomes.
