About Amelia
I have received my RCM certificate up to level 10 and only stopped to focus my skills on Broadway-style music. I have trained with Debra DaVaughn and Raphael Wagner for a combined 12 years. I have done masterclasses with Broadway legends such as Susan Strohman and Johanna Gleason. I have taken vocal coaching from Tyler Capa and have performed for events such as the Jubilee Arts National Festival and won against thousands of vocal performers of all ages. Most of all, I have been in positions where music directors have asked me to go outside of my comfort zone for a given show and felt compelled to hurt my own voice for the benefit of others. I want to educate performers so that they do not surrender their health just because someone requests that they do, and know how to maintain vocal health.

I enjoy teaching with a mix of my own holistic vocal style and the Estill method, which emphasizes strengthening each aspect of the voice and isolating the different attributes. I think it is extremely integral to understand how to produce a variety of different vocal sounds and styles while ensuring your own individual talents and abilities. I believe that every person has the capacity to sing and just needs someone to adjust the way that they are producing sounds to become a more successful performer. With my knowledge and experience, I can help you to not only know your own vocal anatomy better and perform with improved technique, but also know how the music industry works and what one needs to have skill-wise to perform as a means of living.
