About Janki
As a student, I had struggled to find the right tutor for my own education and academic growth. Having self-taught myself for years, I am ready to impart my knowledge on my specialised subject matter to students who need support in English.
I have recently graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London and obtained a degree in English and American Literature. I was able to adapt to both online and in-person teaching environments, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. I have been tutoring children online and in-person at a centre since 2020. All of my recent Year 11 students who have received their 2022 GCSE results have received 9’s for English Literature and 8/9‘s for English Language.

Usually, I ensure that the child has read the core text they have studied before starting the session. I firstly start off by going over content and context for a couple of sessions (depending on the length of the text being studied), providing students with a list of homework questions to complete. This will then progress onto timed practice exam papers, which will be marked. I will also provide students with different study tips and tricks to help them study for their final examinations.
