About Avery
Hi! My name is Avery, and I’m a kinesiology major with a minor in biology. I was an International Baccalaureate (IB) biology student in high school and have consistently earned A+ grades in anatomy, physiology, and biology courses throughout my academic journey. Currently, I work as an undergraduate teaching assistant for anatomy lab sessions, where I’ve earned a 5-star rating from students for my engaging, patient, and clear teaching style. I’m also on the pre-physician assistant track with a focus on pediatric oncology, which inspires my dedication to making science accessible and meaningful for everyone. My passion for science and helping others learn drives my tutoring. I know that studying biology and anatomy can be overwhelming at times, so I aim to make complex topics easier to understand through real-world examples, interactive discussions, and personalized lessons. As a tutor, I believe that understanding and engagement are the keys to success. My rates start at $13 per hour, depending on the subject and level of instruction. For high school IB biology and introductory anatomy and physiology, the rate is $13/hour. For college-level anatomy, physiology, and advanced biology topics, the rate may be slightly higher to reflect the complexity of the material.
