About Priya
Hi, I'm Priya
I'm a Master's graduate in Bioinformatics from the Australian National University with a strong academic background in science and math. I've always genuinely enjoyed teaching and breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable ideas.
I have experience teaching at university level as well as tutoring students of different ages, and I'm comfortable working with a range of learning styles. I understand that every student learns differently, and I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities.
Having studied under the Cambridge syllabus and worked with the Australian curriculum, I bring a well-rounded understanding of different approaches to learning. My focus is not just on improving grades, but on helping students feel more confident, capable and less overwhelmed with their studies.

I take a friendly, patient and personalized approach to tutoring, adapting each lesson to the student's learning style and pace. My goal is not just to help students complete their homework, but to build their confidence and help them genuinely understand the concepts. I like to break down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand ideas, and I encourage students to ask questions freely without feeling pressured.
For science subjects (biology, chemistry and physics), I focus on building strong fundamentals and linking concepts to real-world examples so they feel more intuitive. For math, I emphasize step-by-step problem solving and practice, helping students develop both accuracy and confidence.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, but I'm flexible depending on the student's needs and attention span. I also provide guidance on study techniques, exam preparation and how to approach tricky questions effectively.
I have a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the Australian National University and experience teaching at university level, as well as tutoring students of different ages. I am familiar with both the Cambridge syllabus and the Australian curriculum.
My lessons are suitable for primary, high school and early undergraduate students who need support, want to improve their grades, or simply build a stronger foundation in their subjects.
