About Arnav
My passion for architecture began with an appreciation for how spaces influence human experience, inspire creativity, and shape communities. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Arch in Sustainable Architecture, where I gained expertise in design thinking, structural planning, sustainability, and conceptual visualization. Over the past 9 years, I have guided learners through architectural principles, helping them connect ideas to practice and build confidence in their design abilities. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, creativity, and exploration, allowing students to develop technical skills alongside imaginative thinking.
I adapt lessons to meet each learner’s style, level, and goals. Beginners receive structured support in basic drawing, proportion, and visual composition. Intermediate learners explore sustainable design, material selection, site analysis, and model-making. Advanced learners focus on complex project design, portfolio preparation, presentation techniques, and critical evaluation. Throughout, I provide constructive feedback, encourage experimentation, and create a supportive environment that balances technical rigor with creative freedom.
Beyond teaching, I actively engage with architecture through research on sustainable urban development, modern design innovations, and emerging technologies like BIM and parametric modeling. Participating in workshops and collaborative projects allows me to bring real-world experience to my lessons, enriching the learning process. Teaching architecture is deeply fulfilling because I witness students evolve from tentative beginners to confident designers capable of creating thoughtful, impactful spaces. Helping learners discover their creative voice and develop their design identity is the most rewarding part of my work.

Architecture is most engaging when students learn to see spaces as dynamic entities that interact with humans, nature, and culture. In my lessons, I focus on conceptual development, spatial design, structural understanding, and sustainability principles, helping learners translate abstract ideas into functional, aesthetically pleasing designs. I incorporate hands-on activities such as sketching, model building, digital drafting, and critique sessions, allowing students to experiment and refine their design thinking. Each lesson encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and iterative development, fostering both technical skill and creative confidence. By connecting theory with practical examples, learners develop an appreciation for the complexity and artistry inherent in architecture.
Lessons are tailored to student levels. Beginners concentrate on basic drawing techniques, visual proportion, and compositional understanding. Intermediate learners study site planning, spatial organization, sustainable design strategies, and material selection. Advanced students engage in project development, portfolio refinement, architectural presentation, and professional critique. Every session is scaffolded to increase complexity while reinforcing conceptual clarity, technical precision, and creative reasoning. Students are encouraged to think independently, solve problems creatively, and communicate design ideas effectively.
Architecture lessons also build critical thinking, observation, and analytical skills. Students develop the ability to approach design challenges methodically, balance functionality with aesthetics, and articulate their creative choices. My goal is to nurture confident, independent learners who can conceptualize, plan, and execute designs while appreciating the impact of architecture on society and the environment.
