About Sierra
A little about me, I am 25 years old. I was just an average student in high school, and math was, surprisingly, one of my worst subjects. My first couple years of college were rough, and I took many random courses as I tried to lock down my major. I was amazed at how easy math was for me when I had a competent and dedicated teacher. I set out to become one of those understanding teachers to try to help students like myself. My goal is to help students who don't learn like everyone else. If you have ever felt stupid or judged because you dont understand information how they expect you to. I am dedicated to helping you. You are not any less competent or intelligent. Together, you can become more confident in your abilities and prove to yourself and others that you can pass that math class!

I believe everyone learns and understands information differently. Therefore I don't have one method or technique for helping students. I will regularly check in with you as our lesson progresses to ensure you are following along. And if you are feeling lost or confused, we will reevaluate and find a new way of explaining the information. I have my AA in math and am currently earning my BA. I aim to teach high school after graduating. But I will tutor students in middle school, high school, and lower-division college-level math courses.
