About Jace
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a concentration in Guitar Performance, and I’ve been teaching for over 9 years in private, group, and online settings. My students range from absolute beginners to advanced players working on original compositions or live performance skills. In addition to teaching, I’ve played in bands, recorded studio tracks, and composed instrumental pieces for short films and indie projects. This practical experience informs my lessons—I know what skills are needed not only to play well but to connect with audiences and collaborators. Teaching guitar is deeply rewarding for me. I believe anyone can learn with the right guidance, patience, and practice. I tailor my methods to fit your goals and learning style, creating a positive and motivating space where creativity and technique go hand in hand.

Guitar lessons begin with the fundamentals: proper hand positioning, tuning, and learning basic chords. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or returning after years, we move at your pace while building essential muscle memory and confidence in both strumming and picking. Intermediate lessons explore scales, fingerstyle patterns, barre chords, and rhythm variations across genres like rock, pop, blues, or acoustic folk. Students also learn to read tablature and understand music theory in a hands-on, approachable way. Progress is tracked with fun challenges and customised practice plans. Advanced sessions shift towards improvisation, songwriting, and developing a personal sound. You’ll work on soloing, tone control, and complex arrangements tailored to your musical taste.
