About Rose
As a child growing up in the state of Kerala in India, I was fascinated by the quiet minimalism inherent in Malayali culture. This culture was strongly tied to the Hindu way of life and I often felt left out from experiencing this as I was born into a Catholic household.
I was finally able to experience my culture like an outsider through oral mythology, books, and visual representations in movies, comic books and old temple murals. The power of these visual mediums to transport me into different places, times and cultures was pure magic to me.
I love creating visual narratives that reflect my culture and upbringing.

I personally believe in live sketching to help improve understanding of real subjects. I also love helping students draw from memory as a creative practice. The lessons will be tailored to suit the skill and comprehension level the student being tutored.
