About Tom
I'm an Artist and Architect, with a degree from Brown University. I am fortunate to have had several great art teachers throughout my life. Even so, I've spent years trying to figure out how to get better and better at drawing and painting, and at this point, I know just about every tip and trick in the book (and have tried them all)! My studio is in Westfield NJ. I'm passionate about art and enjoy engaging with anyone interested in learning or improving.

The type of lesson depends on the student. For children, it's about making art fun and building an environment and habit to ensure daily drawing. For teens and adults, we'll talk about your art and the things you like to draw and paint. You'll share your favorite works of art and tell me about the kind of art you wish to one day be able to make, and together we'll develop the exercises that will get you there. Drawing and painting is like any other skill - practicing the right things, the right way, will guarantee results. I truly believe that with practice and training, anyone can create incredible art.
