About Fatima
Hi, I’m Fatima! I’ve recently finished Higher Maths and I’m working towards becoming an actuarial scientist, so Maths is a big part of both my studies and my future. I know how overwhelming Maths can feel, I’ve been there myself, but I also know the difference it makes when someone explains it in a way that finally clicks. That’s why I decided to start tutoring: I want to help other students build their confidence and feel capable, not just in exams but in their everyday learning too. As someone who’s gone through the same exams recently, I can relate to the stress students feel. But parents can also be reassured that I keep my lessons structured, supportive, and focused on progress. I aim to create a space where students aren’t afraid to make mistakes, because that’s how real understanding grows.

My lessons are built to make Maths simple, structured, and stress-free. I focus on helping students truly understand the “why” behind the methods, not just memorise steps. That way, you’ll be able to tackle any type of problem with confidence. I adapt my teaching to each student’s needs whether it’s strengthening the basics, building exam technique, or pushing towards top grades with challenging practice. I use past papers, worked examples, and personalised exercises so lessons feel relevant and effective. Although I’ve just completed Higher Maths, I don’t only focus on SQA. I can support students working towards different exam boards or simply looking to improve their Maths skills outside of school exams. My goal is to give every student the tools and confidence to succeed.
