About Aalisha
Hi, my name is Aalisha! I am currently a high school junior taking college-level classes with goals of becoming an aerospace engineer. In my free time, I am working towards my pilot's license, building drones and model aircraft, researching quantum computing and fluid mechanics, and weightlifting! I am looking to become a tutor because I would like to provide other students the guidance and assistance that I wished for when I was younger. In my method of teaching, I place the student's needs and their success at utmost priority with the goal of helping them to progress. With this, I am excited to help you become the best academic version of yourself!

I have ample past experience tutoring at institutions such as Kumon, Eye Level, and my local temple, and prioritize meeting the student's needs rather than the bare minimum. I also have more experience with advanced topics in STEM due to my passion project research in quantum computing and fluid mechanics.
My areas of expertise include but are not limited to: elementary-school mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Newtonian mechanical physics, electromagnetic physics, and general chemistry. I can also assist with SAT-level English comprehension and grammar.
These lessons are designed for all students up to and including high school sophomores who are struggling in any of the above listed subjects and are interested in advancing their academic careers!
I strive to work with your strengths to target your weaknesses, and will do so by creating a customized plan for you so that you can efficiently improve as a student. These lessons will typically consist of lectures on specified topics, followed by discussion of any misunderstandings and tips/tricks to better succeed and avoid mistakes. We will then work together on problems, and finally, homework and resources will be provided as extra practice.
Based on your performance and confidence with certain topics, the next lesson will be curated to ensure your success - whether it be by reviewing past lessons, or looking at topics at a more rudimentary but fundamental level.
