About Demi
Hi! My name is Demi. Currently I travel between Texas and Arkansas. I plan on becoming a professor and mental health counselor. Last year, I was a Language Assistant in Spain while I got my Master's Degree in Education. The past few years before that, I was a high school teacher and coach in Florida! I taught English, TV Production, and Filmmaking. I coached cheerleading and tennis. I also sponsored the Asian Student Union. I love teaching and mentoring with all my heart. Connecting with others and helping them achieve their goals and dreams fills my soul. In addition to having a passion for mentoring, I also love many other things such as: singing, dancing, writing, comedy, animals, adventuring, and so much more!

I use a student-centered approach that empowers my learners to discover the information through my guided facilitation. Typically, we start with a warm-up to engage with potentially to-be learned material. Then from there, each lesson varies depending on what the student needs and what their interests are. I try to tailor each lesson in a way that will motivate the student to learn and succeed. My biggest priority as a tutor and mentor is the relationship and connection I build with my student. Without it, I might fail to help the student reach their fullest potential. I tutor for a variety of ages and levels. I tutor from age 7 and up (yes, including adults), and from CEFR levels of A2 and up. I specialize in high school ELA and secondary through adult for ESL.

I can highly recommend this young lady. She dedicates herself into everything she does. She is Always working & focused.
I describe her as being determined and dedicated to make progress. We previously worked together and I was proud to have her by my side. My classroom at that time was with the most intense special needs students ages 14-22. I definitely could count on her to jump in and help with any task that arose.
