About Sahar
I hold a PhD in English Language, and both my MA and BA are in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT). Additionally, I was awarded Senior Fellow status by AdvanceHE in September 2024, which reflects my understanding of the UK's higher education system. Holding relevant degrees in the area of TESOL and at least nine years of experience in developing and teaching EAP courses at the university level, I aspire to contribute to your study skill courses. I see teaching as a fulfilling experience that allows me to think critically, assess the context and classes, and address any issues related to educational equity. I strongly believe that my expertise in research-based teaching at the university level in a multicultural environment and my passion for teaching will help me contribute to achieving high quality in the learning and teaching processes at your esteemed institution.

In my Academic English courses, I would constantly emphasise the importance of students’ study skills and digital literacy to equip them to search effectively, develop an awareness of the features of academic culture, avoid plagiarism, use appropriate referencing, synthesise ideas, deliver effective oral presentations using technological tools, and prepare academic posters.
