I have a PhD in legal education, a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education and an MPhil in Medical Law. I have been teaching full-time in the UK since 2001 and am a respected expert on legal education. I am passionate about engaging students.

I believe in active learning, as opposed to talking at students. Students should be involved in designing their learning. Students deserve to receive regular feedback, giving clear guidance on how to improve. I regularly receive excellent student feedback and was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2022.
