About Nicholas
I’m a lifelong learner and science enthusiast who graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in physics, specializing in astrophysics and plasma physics. Right now, I’m continuing that journey by pursuing my master’s in physics. Outside of tutoring, I work at a planetarium, where I get to spark wonder in people of all ages. I’m also a full-on nerd. I read comic books, build miniatures, and hike trails whenever I can. My goal as a tutor is to meet you where you are, make tough subjects feel approachable, and remind you that learning is something we’re all capable of, especially with the right guide. I like making lessons into jigsaw puzzles. This is where I would break down a complex topic into pieces and allow for periods of explanation, exploration, and practice where my students get an opportunity to figure out the topic by putting the pieces together I lay for them. I have been tutoring for over 6 years, from high school onwards, and have tutored at different levels so I am very flexible when it comes to the pace at which my students learn at and where there are in the material. It's so much fun to teach what I've learned throughout my academic and personal life and I hope I can tailor my lessons to best suit my future students!
