About Jiya
I am a recent 2025 HSC graduate with an ATAR of 99.80 and am currently studying Medicine at Western Sydney University. I received a Band 6 in all my subjects, as well as receiving a state rank for Society and Culture.
I have a genuine passion for learning and aim to instill that same curiosity and appreciation for learning in my students. Having recently completed the HSC myself, I understand the academic pressure and stress that students face, and I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students can feel free to ask as many questions as they need.
My approach goes beyond just the syllabus content to include exam techniques, helping to boost confidence and reduce exam anxiety. I encourage curiosity and independent thinking, supporting students to understand concepts deeply rather than relying on rote memorization.

Approach to Teaching:
My tutoring approach is centred on building strong foundational understanding and student confidence. I prioritise teaching underlying concepts first, ensuring students genuinely understand the content rather than relying on rote memorisation. This allows students to apply their knowledge flexibly and tackle higher-order exam questions with greater confidence.
As a recent HSC graduate, I am very familiar with current syllabus requirements and exam techniques, helping students with approaching questions efficiently, avoiding common errors, and maximising marks.
My lessons are suited to students seeking to strengthen understanding, improve confidence, and achieve strong academic results, whether they are aiming to consolidate fundamentals or push towards top-band performance.
