About Nathan
I've always liked the moment something finally clicks for someone, that shift from confusion to confidence. Growing up in Colombo, I spent time volunteering with education-focused community organizations, and later led a team of student journalists through Colombo Model United Nations, which taught me as much about mentoring and patience as it did about communication. I remember what it feels like to sit with a subject that isn't making sense yet, which is why I care more about pace than speed — I'd rather a student actually understand something than just get through it. Teaching, to me, is really an extension of that.

I focus on building real understanding rather than memorised answers, using active recall, teach-back, and short recaps of earlier topics so material actually sticks between terms rather than being forgotten once the unit ends. Lessons run for 1 hour and are tailored to where you're currently at, whether that means consolidating fundamentals or stretching into exam-level work.
I'm an Economics & Finance graduate from the University of Melbourne with A-Level results equivalent to a 96.5 ATAR. I currently coordinate international executive education programmes for the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, and I co-founded a fixed income investment fund; so I work with finance and economics at both an institutional and an educational level. I teach VCE Economics and Maths across Years 7 to 12, always at a calm, patient pace.
