About Lachlan
I believe having many alternative sources of knowledge is the key to success. Teachers have 20-30 kids that their lesson must be tailored to, meaning often the advanced aspects of a topic are skimmed over. This is why getting information from other sources to reinforce classwork is important. For me, I ended up reading the physics textbook cover to cover by the end of year 12, as well as completing every question in the extension 2 math textbook. This method of alternative sources ensured there were no gaps in my learning and was reflected in my results. This is why I began tutoring as through the tailored lessons, it provides students with a second perspective on difficult concepts, and ensures that there are no gaps in their learning while also providing the opportunity for extension to the higher levels of a concept.

Through my experience of the HSC I found that the most effective method of reinforcing fundamental concepts is to teach someone else. This technique is incorporated into my lessons, after learning a concept on a macro level, students are encouraged to complete practice questions to gain intuition in the subject before re-explaining the topic and in doing so cementing a deeper understanding while also ensuring no gaps in their knowledge
I am able to teach all high school level students, especially any year eleven or twelve students undergoing extension one. I am available for in person (on Sydney Uni campus) or online tutoring between 4pm and 7pm any day of the week.

Excellent! Lachlan was patient, knowledgeable, and engaging.
