About Carmen
"Do you wonder how a classical violinist maintains steady progress from the earliest years to the stage? I guide students ranging from 4-year-old beginners to advanced high schoolers through 10 years of consistent musical development. My foundation is a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin from the University of Michigan School of Music.
I perform regularly with the Seattle Symphony while maintaining a private studio in Boston. Technique matters.
I emphasize rigorous bowing technique, precision in scales and arpeggios, and correct posture and hold. My students master shifting positions and sight reading while preparing for ABRSM or Trinity grade exams. Hard work creates results."
