About Sikander
I have a PhD in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin. Before completing my PhD I did my Master's in philosophy from Simon Fraser University, and BA in philosophy and political science from the University of Toronto. For the past three years I taught philosophy as an instructor at the Lahore University of Management Sciences. As a graduate student I taught as an instructor twice, and as a TA multiple times. I have taught or assisted courses in ethics, applied ethics, introduction to philosophy, metaphysics and epistemology, aesthetics, and philosophy of mind. My research specializations are philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and South Asian philosophy. However, I have experience and interest in other areas of philosophy as well, such as ethics, meta-ethics, social philosophy, and epistemology.

I help secondary and undergraduate students with forming a deeper and more intuitive understanding of philosophical materials. My lessons include passage analysis, Socratic dialogue, help with essay writing, and supplementary materials from my training in philosophy.
I am flexible and aim to help students improve their comprehension of philosophical texts, critical thinking, philosophical writing ability, and breadth of knowledge.
