About Donovan
My teaching exploits are well documented (see LinkedIn profile, full academic Curriculum Vitae for depth and breadth of accomplishments). I am an integrative physiologist by way of exercise physiology, nutrition, and cardiovascular/autonomic function and decompensation. I thrive working with individuals from a diverse student body with unique academic challenges. My teaching merit is recognized through my methodologies, communication with and accessibility to students, commitment to mastery of learning objectives, and professional development of our academic charges. I insist on high expectations of my colleagues, my students, and myself to uphold academic rigor and integrity. By stressing the critical thinking skills and study approaches to complex, exercise physiology topics, my students take ownership of their training from the aspect of developing practitioners.

I will work tirelessly with serious and dedicated students.
1. I started teaching biomedical-related courses in 1997 and continue to this day.
2. My signature courses included, but were not limited to, biomedical physiology, anatomy & physiology, chronic diseases and disabilities, nutrition, exercise physiology, and integrative physiology.
3. I can effectively improve the performance of undergraduate, graduate, nursing, and medical students.
4. I have experience both on-ground and online. 5. To date, I have taught 3000-4000 students.
6. I received numerous teaching awards for presenting content that was balanced in rigor and accessibility.
7. My instruction is intellectually challenging, however, student assessment scores were some of, if not the best, in my academic department.
