About Aaron
Music has been my lifelong passion. For over two decades, I have dedicated myself to helping students of all ages unlock their creative potential and build genuine confidence through music. High customer satisfaction and A average RCM grade. Google "Funjamentals" to see 22+ 5-star Google reviews.
As an active performing songwriter and the 2023 Oshawa Music Awards Emerging Artist of the Year, I bring real-world industry experience into every lesson. My own musical journey started by learning songs by ear before moving into formal classical piano, music theory, and composition. That background taught me how to break down complex skills so they are easy to learn and fun to practice.
Throughout my career, I have taught in a wide range of settings, including Montessori schools, specialized music academies, international programs in South Korea, and my own private coaching platform, FunJAMentals. With a formal background in Child and Youth Care, I focus on patience, encouragement, and creating a comfortable space where students feel excited to try new things.
Whether I am guiding a young student toward top marks on their RCM exams or helping an adult play their favorite songs for the first time, my focus is always on delivering a high-quality, personalized experience that makes learning music an absolute joy.
