About Haasith
I have always been driven by curiosity and a genuine passion for learning. Whether exploring mathematics, physics, engineering or philosophy, I enjoy understanding why things work rather than simply memorizing answers. This mindset shapes both how I learn and how I teach.
I am currently studying Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at UNSW after achieving an IB score of 41/45 (99.95 ATAR) and receiving the Bronze Bragg Medal as the top Year 12 IB Physics student in South Australia. As a private tutor, I enjoy helping students build confidence, develop strong problem-solving skills and discover that learning can be both rewarding and enjoyable.

My teaching philosophy is built around a simple idea: students learn best when they understand concepts, rather than memorizing procedures. Drawing on principles from learning science, I focus on helping students build meaningful connections between ideas and break complex topics into smaller, intuitive steps that are easier to understand and remember.
Rather than simply showing how to solve a question, I work with students to understand why each step works. By relating new concepts to knowledge they already have, students develop stronger intuition and become more confident tackling unfamiliar problems independently.
Every lesson is tailored to the student's current level, learning style and goals. Lessons are typically one hour long and are available online. I tutor Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for Years 7–12, including IB Mathematics AA, IB Physics and SACE subjects.
