Public speaking is not easy but it is super simple if you understand the fundamentals. What are the fundamentals? They are just three (3).
1. Know the topic well
2. Know your audience
3. Overlook your fright and do it.
I've coached students who have returned to tell me it is simpler than they thought it was because they followed my effective public speaking tips.
One spectacular case was that of Desmond. Desmond had a presentation at school and he was really afraid to do it. He was at a point of making the decision of not showing up on the D-day.
Luckily for him, he had a session with me and that session according to him was a lifesaver.
I began by telling him that if he believes he could do it then the job is half done. Thinking “I can't do it” is the first thing to be dealt with.
Long story short, Desmond went for his presentation with the help of what I shared with him and it was a blast. He killed it!
He told me people were surprised at his performance and he was able to make new friends.
I would like to help you share the same experience as that of Desmond and many others.
