About Max
I'm an independent filmmaker and student, currently between A-Levels and a placement at one of the UK's most prestigious film schools.
While I was unable to explore film in an educational capacity until A-Levels, I believe the results speak for themselves;
A* in Film Studies, as well as Photography, EPQ and an A in drama. My EPQ followed the creation of a short film over the span of a year, which ended up winning several awards across an international circuit, including Best Horror, Best Young Actress and Best Short.
In both Photography and EPQ, I scored full marks, a rare feat for coursework subjects, let alone in Advanced Level Qualifications.

The brilliant thing about film and the screen arts is their inherent need for personality, be that in creation, observation or analysis. Regardless of the subject of the lesson (essay writing help, practical workshops, film reviews and analysis), the focus is always on personal perspective, proficiency and passion!
My experience in film started (like most) with a love of the screen that quickly developed into an enthusiastic analyst and practitioner, resulting in an A* at A-Level, a professional portfolio of successful projects, experience on industry sets and a place at one of the UK's most prestigious film schools.
My lessons are for anyone with a love of film, but I expect I will be most useful to those looking for help with A-Level and GCSE film studies, or young adults looking for mentorship in their endeavours to create their own short films, screenplays or other screen-content.
I hope to make prospective students as excited about all facets of film as they can possibly be - as the only sure-fire way to make it is talent, patience and enthusiasm.
