About Emily
During my time as a TA I was reviewed by my students at the end of every quarter and the reviews were always positive. I have been told by students that my lessons helped them understand and gain confidence in concepts they were struggling with in class. I think my teaching style is a little different than the typical math teacher and this can help students who are having a hard time understanding concepts under their current lesson plans.

In my three years of being a TA I created and taught supplemental lessons for pre-calculus and calculus courses. I have lots of lesson plans and practice problems to help improve skills in mathematics, all built to be done in a virtual setting. I have also set up practice problems to be solved in different styles depending on what method of learning any student of mine enjoys best and I am always willing to adjust if something isn’t working. I understand that some methods are not for everyone and I love helping people find a way that works for them. I know math can be frustrating and sometimes even boring, but as someone who found love for the subject I like to find ways to make it accessible and digestible for my students! I also have more standard practice exams and solutions for extra help during test times.
