About Rajya Lakshmi
Hello! My name is Rajya Lakshmi, and I am a 2025 Year 12 graduate currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Business. I have always enjoyed mathematics and problem-solving, and I love helping students understand tricky topics in a simple and clear way. I know that sometimes math can feel confusing or overwhelming, but with the right explanation and practice, it can become much easier and even enjoyable. My goal is to create a friendly, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence at their own pace. I am patient, encouraging, and organized, and I am committed to helping each student improve their skills and believe in their abilities. I truly enjoy teaching because seeing students grow in confidence and succeed makes the experience rewarding for both of us.

My approach to tutoring focuses on building strong foundational understanding and long-term confidence in mathematics. I believe students learn best when they understand the reasoning behind concepts rather than memorising formulas, so I break topics down into clear, step-by-step explanations followed by guided and independent practice. A typical lesson runs for 60 - 90 minutes and includes revision of previous content, introduction of new material, and targeted practice questions tailored to the student’s level and school syllabus. I am a 2025 Year 12 graduate currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Business, with a strong STEM background and experience as a Peer Support Leader, which has strengthened my communication and mentoring skills. My lessons are designed for students in Years 1–9 who want to improve their mathematical skills and academic confidence.

I was in maths standard 1 while she was in advanced maths back in my high school. We were in the same study room and mutual peers told me she was willing to give me a hand with my homework, so I reached out and she helped break down complicated concepts so that it was easier for me to understand, especially with financial maths which I struggled with most, and she'd helped me study and revise with older topics like probability, trigonometry etc Something I really appreciated about her teaching method is that she doesn't demean, she listens and she is patient with me. I highly recommend her!!
