About Joel
I've always enjoyed solving problems and sharing them with others since I was a kid and at school myself! Mathematics was a favourite subject for a long time, and it has been a core of my academic and professional focus for a long time. I hope that in working with me, you can build your confidence in mathematics and statistics skills, and maybe even have a greater appreciation for the art of the problems we will learn to solve together!

My background is with the WACE curriculum, but I am well equipped to provide support via online lessons for those undertaking the equivalent in other states (e.g. VCE, HSC). I graduated with a 99.15 ATAR, with particular excellence in Mathematics Methods, Specialist and Physics ATAR subjects. I have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, and am currently writing an Honours Thesis Dissertation in the same subject. I have prior experience with private tutoring, as well as facilitation of mathematics and data science tutorial sessions for beginning undergraduate students.
These lessons are aimed at students looking to either enhance the learnings currently received in their schooling and improve performance by that extra little piece, or support key foundational topics that may be of particular struggle in class. I am available to support anyone from Year 10 to a first-year undergraduate level, including Year 11 and 12 ATAR mathematics and physics subjects. Lessons are typically 90 minutes, but are flexible based on the availability and needs of the student.
