About Rachel
I am a young, professional woman working in social services. I also tutor part-time in areas such as psychology, counselling and English. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology, with a minor in philosophy, and am working towards my masters of counselling. I enjoy working with all kinds of people at different educational levels, and strive to meet people where they are at and build their skills and knowledge from there.
About me personally, I enjoy long, rainy hikes with my dog, Marshall, Christmas baking, and volunteering with youth. I am a very open person - if you'd like to know anything, just ask! :)

Hi there! My name is Rachel and I enjoy working closely with those that I tutor to create a meaningful and practical plan to help them reach their goals, whatever they may be. Let's work together to make it work for you!
I have a bachelor's degree in psychology, with a minor in philosophy, and am working towards my masters of counselling. I have two years experience providing 1:1 counselling to college and university students. I also have lots of experience working with children and youth, and would be happy to provide tutoring in English to grades 5-12.
I have worked with folks to tutor them throughout an entire course, including teaching concepts, working on assignments and preparing for midterms and exams. I have also edited papers from diverse subject matters as counselling, massage therapy, chemistry and law for essay structure, grammar, spelling, etc. (instead of editing content).
The main topics I can teach are psychology, philosophy, counselling, sociology, and English. I am reliable, knowledgeable and approachable. I will encourage you and ensure you reach your goals, but also understand that life is busy and we do the best we can!
