About Courtney Paige
Good day to my future students. My name is Courtney and I am 24 years old. I matriculated from Hudson Park High School in East London in 2015 and continued to study and obtain my Bachelor of Science degree at Nelson Mandela University. I have recently graduated, majoring in biochemistry and microbiology. During my studies, I completed and obtained my TEFL120 hour certificate through Teach TEFL. I am currently completing my Postgraduate Certificate in Education online through Stadio Higher Education to qualify to teach Natural Sciences in grades 7-9 and Life Sciences in grades 10-12. I am passionate and enthusiastic about helping students understand and enjoy learning about science. I am diligent, punctual, and confident in my teaching methods. I am very understanding and compassionate when it comes to my students needs and well being. My ultimate goal as a tutor/educator is to ensure that my students develop a good understanding of scientific concepts and skills, and to appreciate and enjoy learning about science.

I am enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and helping students understand the content of the work. I strive to help my students succeed and enjoy learning about Science. I am proficient and able to teach in English. In my lessons, I like to revise and recap on what the students have already learnt. This helps to indicate where students are struggling so that we can focus on and work through that part of the work before moving onto new work. I like to encourage my students to engage with the work by practicing exercises regularly and creating interesting learning activities for the students to take part in. My lessons are aimed in assisting students with Natural Science in the senior phase (grades7-9) and Life Sciences in the further education and training phase (grades 10-12).
