About Destini
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Skills EC-6 with a certification in ESL. I absolutely love teaching which is why I want to tutor! At this age group (9-12yo), some skills may take longer than others to master and that’s where I come in. I will work with each individual student to teach a strategy that they grasp and understand before moving on to the next area of concern. Let’s get learning!

A typical lesson with me starts with a warm-up problem over specified skill followed by a hands on approach (I do, We do, You do) for gradual release throughout the lesson of said skill, concluding with an exit ticket to gauge mastery of the skill.
I have been teaching 4th grade math for 4 years now, specifically looking at vertical alignment with other grade levels (what skills were learned in 3rd grade and what skills are going to be learned in 5th grade). I am motivated to teach an approach or strategy that works for each individual student in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade.
