About Ziad
While getting my undergrad degree, I managed to get academic honors in two thirds of my quarters at UCSD. I also did some informal tutoring for friends during this time, and after graduation, I did TA work for a year(including holding regular office hours), so I am fairly well practiced at one on one teaching.

I view tutoring as a challenge in communication. I believe that in the vast majority of cases, difficulty in understanding a given subject comes from issues in communication. As a tutor, I view my job as identifying these issues, and for each student, figuring out how to best frame a given concept for each individual student; metaphorically speaking, I learn their language and translate the concepts to it.
With experience as a TA, I have some degree of experience and practice with this system, and have found it to be quite effective.
