Suzuki Violin Lessons – Adapted for All Ages & Levels
Hi there! I teach using the Suzuki method, with a personalized approach for:
Adult beginners/intermediate players Kids beginners/intermediate players
Lessons are available in person or online, depending on your needs and level.
For young beginners (5–8 years old) doing online lessons, it’s super helpful to have an adult nearby during the lesson to assist.
For students under 5 years old, I strongly recommend taking in-person lessons to ensure the best learning experience.
Online Lessons Info Lessons are held via Google Meet (Gmail required).
Before we schedule your free trial lesson, please let me know your time zone, so we can find a time that works for both of us
Don’t have an instrument yet? No worries! If you're unsure about what size violin to get or where to find one, just send me a message—I'm happy to help you sort it out.
If you already own a violin or have played before, please make sure you have it set up before our first lesson—including:
A properly installed bridge A shoulder rest (I recommend Everest or Kun, matching the size of your violin)
About the Student Pass The fee you paid is for the Student Pass, which is a rolling monthly subscription (30 days). You can cancel it anytime. Just to clarify—this payment does not cover the first lesson, because your first lesson is totally free!

Perfect! Amazing teacher! She is friendly and talented.
Perfect! I am truly grateful for the positive impact Lorena has had on my son’s musical journey. I wholeheartedly recommend her to any parent looking for a violin teacher who is experienced, encouraging, and deeply committed to their students’ success. She is amazing!!
Perfect! She is unbelievably patient and professional. Exceptional choice if you’re looking for a tutor.
Excellent! I like that Lorena corrects students for proper posture and technique.
Perfect! Lorena is such a fun violin teacher! She uses engaging activities for the kids, lets them earn stickers, and pitches lessons at just the right level. Already my kids have learned more in two lessons than they did in a trimester playing at school. We love Lorena!!
Perfect! Lorena was very responsive and flexible from the start. A talented teacher, with great communication skills. I would recommend highly recommend her for beginners.
Perfect! Lorena was spot on at pointing out what I need to work on. I was a competitive violinist as a child but it's been almost 2 decades. I wasn't sure where to start or what materials I need to practice. She gave me homework and recommended materials for me. I can't wait for our next session!! As a child, I never enjoyed it because my goal was to do well in competitions but now I'm so excited I will get to enjoy being able to create music. Thank you Lorena!! I had all my questions answered as well. See you in our next session!
Perfect! I contacted Lorena with a pretty ambitious goal in mind: just in a couple of encounters, to get a thorough understanding of the differences between the violin and the cello (instrument I play professionally) to allow me to better aid violin students attending school orchestra rehearsals and violinists who want to transition to the cello. Lorena did not just delivered in record time, but also did so in a nice, relaxed environment, receiving my cascade of questions with great patience and enriching my experience showing me details I did not expect to find; all this done with great passion not only for violin playing and music but also for its teaching and pedagogy in general. I “left” (we met remotely) each lesson with renewed enthusiasm and love for what I do, with that beautiful feeling of “I can't wait to try this at work”. Thank you Lorena, in my name and that of my students :)

Lorena is wonderful! She is an amazing violinist with so much talent. My son has progressed on the violin and looks forward to his lessons every week. Lorena teaches techniques and skills in a friendly way. Her kindness makes my son feel comfortable and confident. If you are looking for someone who is dedicated to the violin you will find that in Lorena.
I am incredibly fortunate to have found Lorena as my son’s violin teacher. From the very first lesson, it was clear that she is not only a gifted musician, but also a natural educator who genuinely cares about her students. My son has improved significantly in technique and confidence and has developed a real love for playing the violin.
Thank you Lorena for all you do, we sincerely appreciate you!Lorena is the most wonderful violin teacher. We feel so lucky to have found her. My two daughters and I started playing violin one year ago, and we can’t believe how good we have gotten in a year! She is very warm and fun but also helps you grow and stretch yourself. We have a lot of laughter and joy in our lessons and in our violin playing. Learning violin with Lorena and playing music in our home has brought so much joy to our lives. I always thought kids learning instruments had to be a struggle, but I’ve never had to tell my kids to practice, they simply love playing, and Lorena is a huge part of that. The right teacher makes all the difference. ️
I recommend my teacher Lorena Restrepo as a person qualified to teach violin and do so under professional and didactic methods. I have studied with her for more than five years, both in person and virtually, and I can say that I have always felt guided in my process, because in addition to being an excellent teacher, she is an incredible human being. Thanks to her and her incredible abilities and talent, I have advanced and I can see an immense improvement from when I first started playing the violin until now.
She knows what she's doing,is serious about teaching.
Her lessons are easy to understand, with a sequence that helps you to see a clear and quick improvement, depending on how much you practice of course. I will definitely recommend her!I have known Lorena since she was 12 years old, we studied together and when we finished the Conservatory we played together in the Colombian Youth Orchestra. I attended her students' recitals and learned a lot from her to help my students. I fully trust the educational work that Lorena does. She is a person who teaches by vocation and loves helping her students learn to play the violin. Her methodology is very good, she is very resourceful and she knows how to motivate her students in the learning process. I know her career and the process she had with her students, who managed to acquire great skill and technique when playing the violin.
