About Jonathan
I have played Bass in cover bands in the USA and Australia for the last 25 years and drums for years before that. My only occupation is provision of Bass Guitar Music Lessons and my live performances hence I have plenty of time to give to my students. Even though lessons typically go for an hour (more often than not they might extend for an hour and a half depending on what time my students have available and what we are working on) - It's a great deal because I only even charge for the first hour!!!!! I have been teaching in the USA for the last 11 years and had previously taught in Australia for 8 years before that. Now I am back in Oz I am offering my services again.

I provide in-person or Zoom Bass Guitar / Music Lessons in a friendly comfortable environment. I am qualified with a Graduate Diploma in Adult Education from Melbourne University, am fully COVID 19 vaccinated and play in local bands on a regular basis.
Lessons can be delivered in a variety of formats and can include everything from:- Music Theory, Learning to solo, the basics of bass playing, advanced techniques like slapping and tapping, reading music, creating your own website, video and audio recording or how to play the latest Top 40 tune.
I have all kinds of students ranging from online (Zoom) students in the USA (currently two PhD ladies in Washington and California) who love to learn new tunes and soloing techniques, through to local students just starting out who have never even played an instrument before. I have (and currently teach) women/men, children from 8 to 65 ( age is no barrier if you or your students ) fall outside this range.
First lessons are always free and as I mentioned I can provide a bass guitar and amp if you don't own one for the first month. After which time you might consider buying your own or you can continue to hold mine for a minimal $10 a month.
My prices a very reasonable - first lesson is always free (no obligation) . The full price is a low $35 per hour. The only additional things I charge for is traveling if you require me to come to your location (this is typically $20 depending on your location).
