About Jeff
I'm a native Mandarin speaker from Sydney, currently completing a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) at the University of Tasmania. My academic work centers on cross-cultural research, which has given me a close, ongoing interest in how language carries identity and connects communities across generations. Teaching Chinese feels like a natural extension of that: I want to help students build real confidence in the language, whether that's for exams, travel, family ties, or simply curiosity about the culture behind it. I bring patience, structure, and a genuine interest in each student's specific reasons for learning.
