About Caitlin
Hi! I'm a BCom Financial Accounting graduate, specialising in Chartered Accountancy, and I'm currently completing my Honours degree in Management Accounting at Stellenbosch University.
Throughout my studies, I've maintained a strong academic record, including achieving two distinctions in my postgraduate subjects: Advanced Management Accounting and Advanced Financial Accounting. I also achieved 86% in Matric Accounting, 89% in Economics and 99% in my first-year university Mathematics module.
I've always enjoyed learning, particularly when it comes to Accounting, Management Accounting, Economics and Mathematics, and I'd love to share that enthusiasm with other students.
I understand how overwhelming school and university subjects can sometimes feel, and I believe that having someone explain concepts clearly and patiently can make a huge difference.
I'm friendly, approachable and committed to helping students build confidence in their abilities. My goal is not just to help students improve their marks, but to help them genuinely understand the material and become more independent learners.

I believe that the key to understanding Accounting and Economics is learning the reasoning behind concepts rather than simply memorising formulae and procedures.
My approach to tutoring is patient, structured and tailored to each student's individual needs. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through challenging topics at their own pace.
A typical lesson would begin by identifying the areas a student is struggling with, followed by clear explanations, worked examples and practice questions to reinforce their understanding. I place particular emphasis on developing problem-solving skills so that students can confidently approach unfamiliar questions in tests and examinations.
I offer tutoring to high school Accounting and Economics students, as well as university students studying Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting and Management Accounting.
Lessons are available online or in person in Cape Town's Southern Suburbs. My goal is not only to help students improve their marks, but also to make subjects that initially seem intimidating feel much more manageable.
