About Emilio
Relevant experience:
Western University: Spanish as foreign language (beginners).
Ekirayá Montessori and Gimnasio la Montaña (both in Colombia): High School teacher. Spanish literature for first language speakers. Intermediate Spanish for expat students.
Tutoring: Between 2011 and 2015, I tutored expat students that were applying to high schools in Colombia. I started my career in education this way, and this has influenced the student-centered approach that I have been developing since.

In 1-to-1 tutoring, I design learning experiences based on students' unique aspirations and needs.
These may range from being able to order a drink to speaking at a business conference, and all that lies between.
A typical first session with me will start with a conversation on what motivates you to study Spanish, your learning goals and current level. If you have had some previous knowledge of Spanish and feel confident, we could try continuing the conversation in Spanish.
With this input, I will plan a set of learning activities that best suit your objectives, and which also put you on track to acquire new communicative resources.
