About George
My name is George, I'm 30 years old, and my main hobby (of course!) is chess, but I also love playing tennis, squash, and I'm also an avid reader and writer.
While I currently live and work in Norwich, I spent several years teaching English in Vietnam, where my interest in teaching grew into a passion.

I combine a passion for chess with a love of teaching - exemplified by my years of experience at the chess board as well as in the classroom.
I make Chess fun, break down difficult constructs, and ensure classes are fun and educational.
As a teacher, I have students from ages 5, all the way up to adult learners, tailoring my classes to meet the needs of the students.
My ELO is 2000+ (top 0.1% globally), so I feel more than confident teaching beginners, intermediate, and low advanced players.

Perfect! My son absolutely loved meeting George for his in-person chess lesson. George is a really decent guy and very easy to communicate with (both in the lesson and beforehand). My son really enjoyed his mix of chess puzzles, discussion of chess theory, and then being able to play a game against him too. I would strong recommend!
