About Mia
"Year 11 and 12 students often find me sitting right at their kitchen table to work through complex Spanish verb conjugation. It is actually quite standard for me to bring my MA TESOL and BA French and Spanish, UTS qualifications into those local home settings. CELTA certification is just one part of the toolkit I use to keep things grounded and clear for learners. Most of my time is spent demystifying Latin American versus Castilian variants for students who are just getting started.
I find it rewarding to help people hear the difference in accent and intonation. It is a genuine pleasure to see someone move from absolute confusion to total clarity during our chats about cultural context."
