About Jason
As someone who has spent 14 years in academia at various levels, undergrad, masters, and PhD, and now in medical school, as well as working as an engineer for 7+ years, I have a wealth of experience and skills that I would be happy to put to work to serve my students!

I am a tutor that will work collaboratively with the student to generate practical solutions to their academic objectives, and for this reason, my teaching style is very flexible.
Generally, this results in 2 styles:
1. Showing the student how to answer the questions, predict testable questions, discarding low-yield material, in order to assist the student to achieve a target score on a specific academic test
2. Focused assistance on teaching the student such that they truly understand the academic material, with less focus on grinding out question-sets.
My focus area is directed towards high-school students / 1st year university students.
For more senior university students, I am also able to assist with medical school application - essay writing, application prep, and interview prep/practice.
I am able to teach both in person (North York, UofT Campus) or via Zoom/MS Teams.
