About Alexandra
I'm very passionate about fostering an environment conducive to learning where students can succeed, as a dedicated teacher with a degree in computer network and now completing my Masters. I'm driven by a passion for teaching to make engaging, interactive lessons that inspire curiosity and encourage lifelong participation. With over two years of hands-on experience tutoring students, I understand the importance of building strong relationships with my students and providing unwavering support both inside and outside of tutoring hours. As a GCSE/IGCSE and AL/IAL tutor, my approach revolves around personalised support tailored accordingly to the student's specific needs and learning style. Depending on the depth of the topic to be discussed that day, a typical lesson would take between 1 and 2 hours. The following techniques would be applied: 1. In order to help students understand the concept better, it is important that they engage actively in this process by bringing discussions and interactive activities into play. 2. A foundation of the concept is given by assessing the student's level of knowledge in the area and their objective. The tutoring would be tailored accordingly. 3. Students will be provided with specific assignments and questions for their exercises each week so that they can use what they've learned. This will help them to understand what they need more attention for. 4. The lessons are based on a student's GCSE and AL examinations, techniques such as question analysis, time management and revision will be taught to help the students achieve their best results. As my qualifications, I hold degrees in BEng. (Hons) Computer Networking (TOP-UP) and BSc. (Hons) Information Technology and I am currently working towards my MSc. in Computer Networks and Cyber Security. I have two years' experience of teaching students for the GCSE and A-Levels. I'm keeping up with the most recent curriculum changes and educational trends, taking advantage of a variety of resources to meet individual learning styles; in addition, my students have achieved their academic goals.
