About Elizabeth
I am a recent graduate from the University of California, Berkeley. During my time as an undergrad, I tutored community college students in math and science for over a year. The most rewarding part of my time as a tutor was being able to witness the confidence my tutees would gain from our lessons. The community college in which I taught in had an extremely low graduation/transfer rate. Being there to support others to continue on in their academic journey made the entire experience worthwhile.

When I teach math, I try to show students various ways to approach problems. In math, different paths can often lead to the same outcome. Not all students learn the same way. By giving them more options, each individual can chose the algorithm that they understand best. Math is about patterns. Everything is connected. Once a student realizes this, the problems at hand become less intimidating.
