About Diji
I am a New Orleanian musician: trumpeter, producer, composer, and arranger. I graduated Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor's in Professional Music: Jazz Composition, Video Game Scoring, and Screen Scoring. When it comes to teaching and creating, I make space for the student to understand what is being taught, rather than throwing words and terminologies at them.

I teach beginner and intermediate levels of music production. Proficient with Logic Pro X and Pro Tools. My lesson plan usually consists of figuring out the level of the student, then asking what they would like to know. If they don' t know, I put them on a plan starting from where they are.
1. Production Skill: Workflow
2. Signal Flow (Busses, Submixes, Routing)
3. Plugins and what they mean
4. Mixing (simplified)
5. Put it into practice.
After going through the above list, I would have the student create a beat and we would go over it and analyze it. What sets me apart as a tutor is understanding that everyone learns in a different way, and utilizing my skillset and adaptability to change the way I say things to better fit into how it works in my student's mind.
