About Belal
I grew up in Puerto Rico and lived a few years in Dominican Republic I have a vast understanding of these two cultures and vocabularies!
Growing up in Puerto Rico was a vibrant and culturally rich experience. From a young age, I was immersed in the island's traditions, music, and, most importantly, its language. Spanish was the heartbeat of my daily life, spoken at home, in school, and throughout the community.
Living in Puerto Rico meant that Spanish wasn't just a subject taught in school but a vital part of every interaction. I absorbed the language naturally, listening to family members, engaging with friends, and participating in community events. The rich Puerto Rican dialect, with its unique expressions and musicality, became second nature to me.
Through my education, I honed my skills in reading and writing in Spanish, while the vibrant local culture, filled with storytelling, music, and celebrations, enriched my spoken language. This deep connection to my heritage and environment allowed me to not just learn but truly dominate the Spanish language, making it an integral part of my identity.
