About Dorothy
Hi! I’m Dorothy, a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and a student at UMass Amherst. I enjoy helping others learn and gain confidence in a new language.
I have experience working with students from different educational backgrounds and understand that everyone learns at a different pace. My goal is to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
As an international student studying in the United States, I use both Chinese and English daily, which helps me explain Mandarin in a way that is clear and relatable for English-speaking learners. I look forward to helping you achieve your language goals!
