About Hugo
I'm a University of Sydney Commerce graduate and current Law student, and a native Mandarin speaker. I tutor English, Mandarin Chinese, and business/legal basics, as well as badminton and volleyball. My approach is simple: I break complex ideas down into clear, logical steps, and adapt each lesson to the student's level and goals. I work with high school and university students, as well as adult learners. Lessons usually run 60 minutes, online or in person around Sydney, with the pace set by you. Whether you want to build confidence, prepare for exams, or pick up a new skill, my goal is to make each session practical, patient, and genuinely useful.

I'm a University of Sydney graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce, currently pursuing a degree in law. I offer tutoring in English, Chinese and Commerce-related subjects for students of all ages and levels. Growing up trilingual and studying business and law, I understand both how to master a subject and how to explain it clearly to someone approaching it for the first time.
My focus is on building genuine understanding, not just memorizing for the next test. I tailor each session to the student — whether that's strengthening English writing, developing Chinese fluency, or making commerce concepts like accounting and economics actually click. I teach online, so lessons are flexible and can fit around your schedule.
