About Sofia
Hello! My name is Sofia, and I’m a 20-year-old bilingual Spanish and English tutor, specialising in teaching both spoken languages. I was born and live in London and I am enrolled at the University of Liverpool studying Spanish and Film theory, with a year abroad. I am currently living in Buenos Aires, Argentina where I will be spending the rest of the year improving my language skills daily and working towards finishing my degree! As a student myself I can understand what it is like to find learning a new language challenging whilst dealing with the pressures of education alongside.
For two years, I provided tutoring and mentorship to students at my former school, supporting their academic growth in English Language. I offered one-on-one and group guidance for English which helped students strengthen study habits, and encouraged confidence through positive reinforcement. In addition to academic support, I served as a mentor by listening to students’ challenges, offering advice, and helping them set achievable goals.
